Museum volunteers needed for summer months

The Ritzville Museum Volunteers are searching for volunteers that are willing to donate their time at the local museums. Individuals that have one or two free days during the summer months are asked to contact the museum volunteer co-coordinators.

Both the Depot Museum and the Dr. Frank R. Burroughs’ Home are on the national historic registry. Visitors come from across the U.S. and from foreign countries to visit these local treasures. Summer hours are from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and are also open additionally for group tours. Most volunteers work twice a month.

Gaynel Gering is vice president for the group who handles Depot volunteers, and can be reached by phone at 659-1279. Those individuals interested in volunteering their time at the Burroughs’ Home are asked to contact Nancy Burke at 659-4086.
