Jan. 28, 11:24 p.m. – Security company from Pasco advised of an activated burglary alarm on West Second Street, Lind. Deputy Jeffrey Lane and Trooper Tyler Fryberger checked the building, no one was found. Unknown why alarm went off.
Jan. 28, 5:34 p.m. – Odessa complainant advised of a red single cab Ford pickup with a torch in the back was in the area of North Deal Road. Vehicle left southbound on Deal Road. Complainant did not follow. Deputy Ned Bernath checked the area, vehicle was gone upon arrival.
Jan. 28, 12:36 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle parked at the city park in the town of Hatton. Vehicle was registered to a local resident of Hatton. Phone contact was attempted and no answer. Nothing about the vehicle or its contents looked to be suspicious. Cleared from the area.
Jan. 28, 1:58 a.m. – While on patrol in the area of North Moody Road and West Griffith Road, Odessa, a pickup took off from the location at a high rate of speed and blacked out the lights on the vehicle. The area was checked extensively and unable to locate the vehicle.
Jan. 25, 9:43 a.m. – Complainant from Warden advised of wire being taken from a center pivot at a location on West Lind-Warden Road and North Howard Road, Lind.
Jan. 27, 1:56 a.m. – Ritzville complainant received an anonymous phone call, who stated that they could see into the house located on North Rand Lane. Complainant requested that the area be checked. Deputy Lane was unable to locate anyone in the area.
Jan. 25, 8:47 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of trucks speeding and driving poorly in the area of East Danekas Road and North Hills exit, Sprague. Deputy Aaron Madison checked and stayed in the area for a while. Dep. Madison observed numerous trucks in the area but none were found to be traveling over the posted speed limit.
Jan. 24, 10:38 p.m. – Lind complainant advised that while at a gas stop on South Pence Road, with a co-worker, a man at the next pump approached and asked if they wanted to buy some marijuana. Complainant’s declined. The vehicle was a green Oldsmobile Aurora with Oregon plates. Deputy Ben Buriak and Washington State Patrol were advised.
Jan. 24, 10:20 p.m. – City of Ritzville Police advised of an alarm that keeps going off at a location on North Highway 261. RPD reported the alarm and offered to assist since Deputy Buriak was in Lind. It was later learned one of the exterior doors wasn’t secured properly so as the wind blew, the door would swing open and shut, setting off the alarm. Listed responsible was called and secured the door.
Jan. 23, 10:35 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advises they are following a “spot lighter” in the area near the Schrag Elevators. Complainant requests contact. Deputy Buriak made phone contact with complainant who advised the vehicle was now in Grant County. The vehicle was an older white Chevy pickup, unknown plate.
Jan. 23, 9:13 p.m. – Deputy Bernath noticed a flashing red light on the pump across from North St Claire Avenue, Lind. Dispatch contacted responsible party, who advised that the light does flash when there is a problem with the pump. They know of the problem, there is currently a float stuck in it and that is why it is flashing.
Jan. 23, 4:39 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called and advised one of their clients’ requests a standby at a location on South Church Street, Washtucna, and was enroute at this time. When Deputy Bernath arrived the subject was not there and did not arrive while Dep. Bernath was in the area. Dep. Bernath cleared.
Jan. 23, 3:40 p.m. – Lind complainant called to advise that the neighbors moved to the coast and did not take their two dogs and four cats. Deputy Bernath contacted the scene, on East Hatton Road, and spoke with the complainant who advised the neighbors had moved a week ago. They advised they would be back to get their animals. Complainant has been feeding the animals.
Dep. Bernath checked the residence and did not observe any food or water left out except for a hose that was leaking some water. Dep. Bernath will attempt to find out the owners and call Pet Rescue for the two dogs. At this time the animals appear to be healthy.
Jan. 22, 1:12 a.m. – Adams County Sheriffs Office located an open door at the Lind High School leading into the gym. The school was searched. No signs of forced entry or damage. Afterwards, the door was secured.
