Jan. 13, 9:41 p.m. – Lind complainant advised there was a car in the area spinning brodies. Deputy Jeffrey Lane checked the area but was unable to locate any vehicle driving erratically or signs of someone doing so.
Jan. 13, 8:37 p.m. – Hatton complainant called and reported they believe the neighbor shot their dog with a BB gun. Deputy Ben Buriak contacted the complainant and observed the dog was injured. Complainant advised they left their dog out when it wandered away and was later shot with the BB gun. A subject in this matter was unknown.
Jan. 13, 8:00 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a one-vehicle injury rollover at a location near South Damon Road and West Cunningham Road. Units arrived and subjects were transported to the Othello Hospital for treatment. Listed female driver will be charged with vehicular assault, DUI and violation of a protection order.
Jan. 13, 2:11 p.m. – Ritzville complainant accidentally dialed 911 trying to fix a phone issue.
Jan. 11, 3:35 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a suicide at a location on South Church Street.
Jan. 10, 4:37 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called and advised of a male juvenile with a knife, threatening suicide near East Urquhart Road. Deputy Ned Bernath and Sergeant Troy Mock responded and took subject into custody. Juvenile was transported to East Adams Rural Hospital for Mental Health Professional evaluation.
Jan. 10, 2:24 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised hearing what sounded like someone dragging a heavy piece of metal behind a pickup. Deputy Buriak checked the area thoroughly but was unable to locate the source of the noise or anything that has been messed with. Contact was made with the complainant and was advised to call if they hear anything else.
Jan. 9, 3:18 p.m. – Deputies Aaron Madison and Bernath observed a vehicle traveling next to the road then onto the road at a location near North Plager Road, Ritzville. Contact was made with the driver at nearby residence. Driver admitted to driving on that road. Driver has a suspended license in the third degree. Driver was cited and released.
Jan. 9, 1:22 p.m. – Lincoln County Sheriff advised of a subject who confessed to credit card theft at a location on East Sprague Street in Washtucna. Lincoln County advised that the subject is in custody at Martin Hall and will be forwarding Deputy Madison a complete report soon.
Jan. 9, 8:24 a.m. – Advised of 911 hang up at a location on North Neilson Road, Ritzville. Deputy Madison contacted listed subject who advised she was fine and there is no one else in the home. Subject has a type of “life line” alarm on their phone that is believed to have malfunctioned and called 911.
Jan. 8, 5:38 p.m. – While patrolling the area Sergeant Mock noticed vehicle lights in the area just east of the WSU Dryland Experiment Station. Knowing this was the location of old farm machinery the landowner was contacted and advised a scrapping company had been working there since Friday, Jan. 6.
Jan. 8, 2:25 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of someone in the area of East Main Avenue, sounds like they are tearing something up. Deputies Lane and Bernath and Ritzville Police Officer Tom Gracie contacted the subject on the city portion of the fairgrounds. City handled the call.
Jan. 8, 9:58 a.m. – Received a report of a theft at a location on North Short Road, Ritzville. Deputy Bernath contacted the scene. Subject at scene previous night, possible suspect.
Jan. 7, 10:20 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised that they noticed some tracks in the snow in a turn around that belongs to his boss. States the tracks lead towards Keystone. Deputy Buriak checked the Keystone area to the Lincoln County line and didn’t locate any vehicles driving around.
Jan. 7, 8:10 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of male subject who contacted residence on North Short Road, to inquire about work. He was asked to leave and left in a pickup, unknown color, going south on Short toward Kanzler Road. Units located the vehicle on Kanzler Road just west of Marcellus Road. Subject advised he was in the business of scrapping metal and was going around the area inquiring about work. Vehicle’s pickup bed was full of scrap metal. Subject was warned not to inquire about work at night. Subject advised he understood.
Jan. 7, 6:42 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area of North Bauer Road and East Weber Road. Ritzville Police arrived before Sheriff’s department due to extended response time.
Jan. 7, 12:24 p.m. – Deputy Bernath observed subject on South St. Claire Avenue, Lind, duck behind an orange van. Dep. Bernath recognized the subject as having known warrants. Dep. Bernath confirmed warrants through dispatch but was then advised that the jail would not accept the subject.
Jan. 7, 9:40 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Bernath observed a vehicle on the county right of way at North Moody Road and West Tokio Road. This is a dead end road. Dep. Bernath checked the area where the vehicle with its two male occupants had turned around. Dep. Bernath did not observe that the subjects did anything but turn around and head back to the main paved road.
Jan. 7, 8:57 a.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Bernath observed a light colored four–door sedan traveling on a private road south of Rosenoff Road between Roxboro and Deal with two subjects in the vehicle. Dep. Bernath contacted the driver who advised he was an attorney for the passenger and wanted to see where his client was arrested. Dep. Bernath advised the driver that he was not on a public roadway. Both subjects cleared the scene.
Jan. 6, 4:23 p.m. – Trooper Dean Burt advised of a vehicle with scrap in it on northbound Highway 395. Trooper Burt advised registered owner from Lind area.
Jan. 6, 2:54 p.m. – Complainant from Spokane reported theft of items from location in the 700-block of West Lind-Warden Road.
Jan. 6, 11:26 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised that between 9-10 p.m. on Jan. 4, a male subject with a tattoo on his head, driving either a dark blue or gray Ford pickup came to their house on South Haase Road. Complainant advised that only the children were home and when they answered the door the subject told them that he took one too many left turns and finally took a right turn. The subject didn’t ask for directions. Complainant didn’t want contact but to request extra patrols in the area.
Jan. 6, 11:24 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a gas theft on North Deal Road. Deputy Madison contacted complainant for further details.
Jan. 6, 10:16 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a possible suicidal subject armed with a firearm enroute to Ritzville from Washtucna. Undersheriff John Hunt and Deputy Madison located and contacted the subject. Subject was not armed and advised he made no threats of suicide.
Jan. 6, 12:17 a.m. – Ritzville Police Sergeant Mark Cameron requested a second unit for a building search due to an unlocked door on West Main Avenue. Deputy Dan Verhey was contacted and responded. On contact it was found the building was occupied by its owner. Sergeant Stacy Flynn was advised.
Jan. 5, 6:34 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle on East Rosenoff Road. Deputy Lane contacted the complainant and advised him of the recent activities and suggested some ideas for security. Complainant requested a residence check.
Jan. 5, 12:03 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of counter traffic at the sheriff’s office. Deputy Madison contacted the complainant and learned of unauthorized money transactions from complainants’ bank account. After further investigation, issue was found to be civil matter.
Jan. 4, 11:07 p.m. – Complainant from Cheney advised of a subject and vehicle that drove in to their property on South Haase Road, Washtucna. Subject located and appears to be suffering from dementia or similar problem. Subject is not a threat to self or others, just confused.
Jan. 4, 9:05 p.m. – Lind complainant reported a subject making suspicious phone calls. Complainant felt that subject was going to burglarize them. Deputy Lane was in the area for some time and did not locate any suspicious activity.
Jan. 4, 4:16 p.m. – Lind complainant called and advised they wanted contact with a deputy in reference to their child being harassed on the school bus. Deputy Bernath spoke with the complainant and advised this is not a criminal issue and they needed to contact the school directly. Complainant advised that they would.
Jan. 4, 3:29 p.m. – Avista Utilities out of Spokane requested a welfare check on a subject in Lind that was upset and complaining about lights from the neighbors’ house. Subject told Avista that they would hurt themselves and sue the complainant if they didn’t do anything about the lights. Deputy Bernath spoke with the subject who advised they were upset and had not slept much lately because of the lights.
Jan. 4, 10:07 a.m. – Complainant from Warden reported a suspicious vehicle near West Lind-Warden Road and North Deal Road, Lind. Owner of vehicle had parked there and left with another subject for a meeting. Vehicle was later removed.
Jan. 4, 8:04 a.m. – Adams County Superior Court requested court security for a civil trial on West Broadway Avenue. Undersheriff Hunt stood-by without incident.
Jan. 3, 9:46 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a vehicle nosed into the ditch near East Danekas Road and North Bauman Road, nobody around the vehicle. Deputy Bernath contacted vehicle, which was stuck, and not involved in a collision. Vehicle was partially blocking the roadway. Owner of vehicle was unavailable to the vehicle so Dep. Bernath had it towed to impound.
Jan. 3, 9:18 p.m. – A subject was contacted at a Lind residence and it was later determined that the subject had a felony warrant with Adams County. Deputy Buriak later observed the subject in a pickup heading west on State Route 21. Dep. Buriak stopped the vehicle and arrested Aaron Marshall Hayes and transported him to the Adams County Jail.
Jan. 3, 2:32 p.m. – Undersheriff Hunt cited and released a subject on West Broadway Avenue, Ritzville, for driving while license suspended in the third degree.
Jan. 3, 12:07 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of an animal problem on North Marcellus Road and East Arlt Road. Deputy Madison contacted listed horse owner who later arrived on scene. Dep. Madison cleared.
Jan. 2, 7:20 p.m. – Hatton complainant requested a report be generated for a minor assault between two juveniles where no injuries occurred.
Jan. 2, 6:46 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of a juvenile runaway from Apple Alley Lane from Dec. 29. While enroute complainant advised the juvenile had returned home. Upon contact Deputy Jason Erickson completed a runaway post locate interview and a voluntary runaway survey.
Jan. 2, 9:08 a.m. – Complainant from Addy, Wash., advised that while stopping to get fuel on West First Avenue, Ritzville, their dog got out of the back of the truck. The dog is a female border collie with short black and white hair, wearing a collar with tags that include complainant’s phone number. Dispatch advised the complainant of Pet Rescue’s phone number in case they had contact with the dog. The dog is not microchipped.
Jan. 1, 11:44 p.m. – Located subject on North S Street, Lind and Carla Marie Roberts was arrested and booked into jail for Adams County felony warrant.
Jan. 1, 10:18 p.m. – Grant County Sheriff advised of a suspect who told another subject of killing two people at an unknown location. Grant County has no unsolved deaths at this time and will be forwarding the information via email to the Adams County Sheriff’s office.
Jan. 1, 10:58 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a possible domestic on West Seventh Street. No assault, only verbal. Male subject left voluntarily until female subject finished moving out.
