Trinity to host Loyalty Sunday

Each January, Trinity United Methodist Church holds Loyalty Sunday, this year on Jan. 29. This is a special Sunday with the theme, “Invest God’s Way.” Members, friends, and visitors can pledge their time and talents to God in writing, and place this pledge in the Lord’s Offering plate on the altar.

The Gospel of Matthew 25: 14-30 impart some principles of Christian giving: God gives everyone talents. It’s not how much you have – it’s what you do with what you have. You either invest in people, or hoard and bury your God-given talents. Those who God blesses are blessed by giving their life away.

All are welcome to the worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m. After worship, is “soup and bread” fellowship time; bring a pot of soup and/or bread to share. Jewel Wise, of Washtucna, plans to share her knowledge of giving bodies enough water, and making sure that it is as pure as possible.
