Alice Evangaline (Reiff) Heimbigner

Alice Evangaline (Reiff) Heimbigner died on Dec. 2, 2011.

She was born May 10, 1921, to Alma Sommers Reiff and Carl Reiff. She was baptized into Christ on June 6, 1921, and confirmed in the faith May 20, 1934, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville.

She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1939. She worked part-time at the Ritzville Drug Store.

On Oct. 6, 1940, she married Laurin Heimbigner and they made their home on the family farm until she moved to Chehalis on April 5, 1985.

Her husband died Nov. 14, 1979.

The family says she enjoyed doing things with her family, gardening, crocheting hangers and giving them away. She looked forward to the early Sunday services and Wednesday Bible study.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin and wife Debra of Long Beach, Wash., grandson, Brad of Ocean Park, Wash., granddaughters, Gwen of Long Beach, Wash., Bethany of Vancouver, Wash .; and Lyle and wife Carol of Chehalis, Wash., granddaughters, Krista of Hillsboro, Ore., and Heidi of Elma, Wash.

It is requested that memorials be made to Assured Hospice, 1821 Cooks Hill Rd, Centralia, WA 98531 or Peace Lutheran Church, Chehalis.

A funeral service was Dec. 9, 2011, at Peace Lutheran Church, Chehalis. Interment followed on Saturday, Dec 10, 2011, at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Ritzville.

Arrangements are under the care of Brown Mortuary of Chehalis.
