Nov. 19, 11:54 a.m. – A silent alarm was set off at a location on North Highway 261, Ritzville. Building was searched and all was found to be secure.
Nov. 18, 7:25 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of nuisance/noise in the 300 block of East Fifth Street. Deputy Verhey checked the area and was unable to locate any problems.
Nov. 18, 3:35 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a possible assault among juveniles. Deputy Dan Verhey will attempt contact on Nov. 19 and is continuing to attempt contact with witnesses in this case.
Nov. 18, 2:13 p.m. – Ritzville Food Mart advised of a possible DUI subject leaving the store, possibly heading toward Davenport. Described as an older red Ford pickup with a cream colored canopy. Sergeant Stacy Flynn made contact with the driver and arrested Jack. K. Taylor for DUI.
Nov. 18, 12:01 a.m. – Deputy Verhey located an open door at the Washtucna School, the building was checked by Dep. Verhey and no problems were found. Dep. Verhey was able to lock the door upon leaving.
Nov. 17, 2:12 p.m. – Sergeant Troy Mock observed a suspicious vehicle east on Cunningham Road at State Route 395. Contacted the subjects who had a load of scrap metal.
Nov. 17, 1:30 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised around 6:30-7 p.m. on Nov. 12, a dark haired subject came to the door selling cleaning products, and advised he was with the Kirby vacuum company. Complainant didn’t buy anything from them and didn’t think anything about it until he read the paper about a burglary incident. Complainant thought the two might be related and wanted to let the sheriff’s office know. Complainant does not request contact, just wanted to report this information. Complainant was told there had been several reports on the subjects in the area.
Nov. 17, 11:05 a.m. – Ritzville complainant requested deputy contact for hulk vehicle located on complainant’s property near East Rosenoff Road and North Hoffman Road. Deputy Bernath filled out hulk vehicle forms.
Nov. 16, 9:49 a.m. – Ritzville complainant requested contact with a deputy in reference to a burglary that occurred on their property near North Klein Road and Franz Road.
Nov. 16, 7:00 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant called to report an abandon vehicle collision near East Neergaard Road and North Hills Road. The vehicles air bag was deployed. Sergeant Mock called the registered owner of the vehicle to find out if there were any injuries. Owner stated there were no injuries and it occurred around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle was being driven by the owner’s child.
Nov. 15, 12:01 p.m. – Lind School District advised of a student bringing an air gun to the grade school. Deputy Bernath made report.
Nov. 14, 6:16 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of a possible runaway juvenile at Apple Alley Lane. Attempted to contact the complainant and have been unsuccessful.
Nov. 14, 5:23 p.m. – Hatton complainant reported a vehicle stolen in the area of West Second Street, Lind.
Nov. 14, 2:13 p.m. – A Hatton complainant came into the office and requested assistance in attempting to locate her missing juvenile. Complainant advised that they made several attempts to contact the juvenile but with no success. Deputy Montalvo contacted complainants spouse and he advised that it was normal behavior for the juvenile to avoid contact.
Nov. 14, 10:29 a.m. – Ritzville Police requested assistance with a reported burglary in progress on East Broadway.
Nov. 13, 5:58 p.m. – WSP requested agency assist on West I-90 eastbound near Milepost 193. WSP advises the suspect is talking to Yakima County and wants to turn themselves in. WSP advised the closest trooper is in Tyler and the suspect is eastbound at Milepost 192, parked. Sergeant Flynn responded from Ritzville. Sgt. Flynn was at milepost 217 when WSP made radio update that the suspect was going into Cheney to turn themselves in.
Nov. 12, 9:18 p.m. – Benge complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle with two male Russian’s that pulled into their yard. When the complainant contacted them the driver got out of the vehicle and wanted to sell the complainant liquid carpet cleaner. The subject advised he worked for a vacuum cleaner sales company. Complainant advised the males left eastbound out of Benge. Later in the night the same vehicle was contacted in Ritzville by RPD. The males provided a state business license. RPD officer Gracie confirmed the males worked for a vacuum cleaner sales company. No unlawful actions in Adams County were found.
Nov. 12, 6:59 p.m. – Complainant from Edwall advised of cows on the roadway at East Danekas Road and Wellsandt Road, Ritzville. Deputy Verhey checked the area and found the cows, nine black, one brown. With the help of Sergeant Mock the listed owner was contacted and arrived on scene to put cows back in. Once the cows were in, Dep. Verhey cleared.
Nov. 12, 9:29 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a missing horse near East Rehn Road and East Wellsandt Road. Complainant later called back and advised the horse had been found.
Nov. 12, 2:01 a.m. – While on patrol on East Rosenoff Road, Deputy Ben Buriak located a parked vehicle in the westbound lane with its engine running and lights on. Dep. Buriak initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, who was passed out behind the wheel. The vehicle was later removed by a licensed driver at the driver’s request. Joshua Lee Draper was arrested for DUI physical control and booked into Adams County Jail.
Nov. 11, 11:23 p.m. – Adams County Sheriff located vehicle parked behind Java Bloom, Washtucna. It was later determined the vehicle wasn’t stolen and the owner had permission to leave it there by the property owners.
Nov. 11, 11:12 p.m. – Adams County Sheriff’s office located a down stop sign/street sign on East Booth Avenue and North Main Street, Washtucna. It appeared the bottom of the post was rotten and it had fallen. Adams County Public Works was notified.
Nov. 11, 9:12 p.m. – Ritzville Police Department requested assistance with a possible subject in an attic at a location on East Birch Ave. Sergeant Mock advised and granted permission to assist. Units responded from the Ritzville Shell and while en route, was advised complainant was very agitated. Units arrived on scene and it was determined no entry was made. Some shingles from the roof had blown off and that was the noise. Units cleared without incident.
Nov. 11, 5:21 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called to report a suspicious subject that came to residence selling something. Sergeant Mock and Deputy Verhey checked the area and were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle.
Nov. 11, 3:11 p.m. – Moses Lake Police department requested assistance with checking a residence for a suspect vehicle in Adams County. MLPD was attempting to locate the vehicle in connection to a reported theft that had occurred in their jurisdiction. Sergeant Mock and Deputy Bernath contacted the residence, it has been unoccupied for the last couple of months. There was no vehicle that matched the wanted vehicle in the area. Sgt. Mock and Dep. Bernath cleared.
Nov. 10, 7:59 p.m. – Odessa complainant advised of a non-injury vehicle versus deer collision on North Lind-Warden Road near North Highway 21. Deputy Buriak arrived on scene and determined it was a reportable collision. The vehicle was towed.
Nov. 10, 6:31 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a juvenile that left home without permission and has not returned. Deputy Verhey made contact and collected the needed information. Juvenile was put into the system as a runaway. At about 9 p.m. the juvenile returned home and was taken out of the system as a runaway.
Nov. 10, 12:54 p.m. – Ritzville complainant called and advised of a telemarketer attempting to get them to buy oil stocks. When complainant refused the telemarketer advised he should have invested in identity theft programs because he is going to steal his identity. Deputy Bernath advised the complainant to notify his creditors/ bank of this threat.
Nov. 9, 10:13 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area of North Deal Road, driving with its lights off. Deputy Buriak checked the area and was unable to locate any vehicles.
Nov. 9, 8:47 p.m. – Deputy Verhey subject parked at the Lind City Park after hours. Subject advised they were waiting for a friend. Once the subject was identified Dep. Verhey found he was driving with a suspended license in the third degree. Subject was advised not to drive and to have someone come for the vehicle. Subject did as Dep. Verhey asked.
Nov. 9, 8:40 p.m. – Deputy Jeff Lane assisted Ritzville police department with a call on East Weber Road, Ritzville.
Nov. 9, 3:27 pm. – Lind complainant advised of a child who was almost bit in the face by a neighbor’s dog on East Fifth Street.
Nov. 9, 1:52 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a black club cab pickup with square canopy pulling a trailer with wagon wheels. Complainant was concerned that they wheels may be stolen due to recent thefts in the area. Deputy Bernath checked the area, vehicle gone upon arrival.
Nov. 9, 7:28 a.m. – Deputy Roy Montalvo was advised by dispatch of a traffic accident on Cherry Street, Hatton. Vehicle rolled down an embankment. Contacted complainant and a subject at the location. Subject advised they had gone out to warm up the vehicle and failed to set the vehicle’s parking brake. The vehicle rolled down a small hill and suffered no damage.
Nov. 8, 2:34 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised Deputy Bernath of questionable material on a computer at their residence. Dep. Bernath will follow up on the situation.
Nov. 8, 1:25 p.m. – Adams County Public Works advised of a vehicle blocking the roadway on East Tokio Road near Paha-Packard Road, Ritzville. Deputy Bernath spoke with owner who advised the vehicle has been removed.
Nov. 8, 10:33 a.m. – Onstar service reported a two-vehicle collision with injuries on East Tokio Road and North Paha-Packard Road, Ritzville.
Nov. 7, 9:17 a.m. – Ritzville complainant does not need or want contact. Complainant called to advise yesterday afternoon around 4-4:30 p.m. a black pickup with two males came to the house selling resolve cleaning product. The males seemed to speak Russian. Complainant stated that a juvenile was home alone and was scared after closing the door. Complainant worried the subjects might return. Complainant was told to call 911 and not answer the door if something similar happens again.
Nov. 8, 7:52 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised she has received two calls from an unknown subject in the last few days. Complainant requested deputy contact to discuss options. Deputy Bernath contacted complainant.
Nov. 8, 1:03 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of ongoing problems in the area of South Longmeier Road.
Nov. 7, 8:09 a.m. – Washington State Patrol reported an abandoned vehicle on East Highway 26 at East Hampton Road, Washtucna. Deputy Bernath arrived on scene. It was observed that vehicle is related to a prior hulk vehicle on private property report. Dep. Bernath cleared.
Nov. 7, 12:07 a.m. – Adams County Sheriffs office stopped vehicle for speeding 83 in 70 mph zone. Driver came back suspended third degree. Passenger was contacted and had an extraditable warrant out of Island County. Both Timothy Lewis Johnson Jr., and Sheena Nicole Bolt were arrested. Passenger was booked into the Adams County Jail. The driver was cited and released. The vehicle was towed.
Nov. 6, 7:11 p.m. – Advised of a domestic assault at a location on North I Street, Lind. Complainant advised wife assaulted him and left the residence. While en route, complainant called and advised his wife had returned. Units contacted complainant and wife. Deputy Buriak later arrested Stephanie Lynn Smith and booked her for assault, fourth degree domestic violence.
Nov. 6, 4:05 p.m. – Lind complainant requested contact regarding a horse fence/gate being open. Deputy Aaron Madison contacted complainant who advised one of the gates to the fence was found open. Complainant advised the gate was wire tied shut and there is no way the horses could have opened it. While on scene Dep. Madison noticed the rest of the gates chained and locked with a padlock. Complainant advised they are in the process of getting more padlocks to do the same to the rest of the gates.
Nov. 6, 3:01 p.m. – Othello complainant advised of parenting plan violation on South Pence Road, Lind. Complainant advised children were safe and there was no safety concerns at this time. Complainant was advised to contact the courts and their attorney. Deputy Verhey attempted contact with other subject and was unable to locate.
Nov. 6, 2:20 p.m. – Washington State Patrol requested assistance on stop with rolling domestic violence on eastbound I-90 near milepost 218. Deputy Verhey arrived on scene and after investigation it was found no domestic violence has taken place.
Nov. 6, 10:31 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious male walking west on East Rosenoff Road and North Bauer Road. Deputy Verhey made contact with the male who advised he was walking to a friend’s house then to Moses Lake. Male was advised of safe way to walk on roadway and allowed to continue on.
