The Ritzville community will soon have an unexpected Christmas present — a new business.
Key Peninsula residents David and Nancy Ahrens signed all the necessary paperwork Tuesday to take ownership of the shuttered Best Building Supply business.
Within the next few weeks the business will be transformed into Ritzville Lumber and will reopen prior to Christmas.
The venture will partner the Ahrens with Do it Best, a cooperative operation with 4,100 independently owned and operated hardware and home improvement retailers who are members of the Do it Best Corporation.
