Dewald takes eighth in tractor driving

The State FFA Tractor Driving contest was held at the Moses Lake Fairgrounds on Nov. 10. There were 53 tractor drivers from throughout the state that competed at this year’s competition.

This is the first year that the state contest was held in Moses Lake; in previous years it had been held at the State Fair in Puyallup.

Competitors were required to complete a written knowledge test and driving course.

Ritzville had one team competing in the contest, members included Jake Dewald, Hunter Coon and Tyler Greenwalt. Dewald finished eighth place overall.
