Organizers gear up for 2012 Relay For Life with session Tuesday

An informational meeting is set for this Tuesday, Nov. 15, beginning at 5:30 p.m. for anyone interested in the 2012 Relay For Life of Ritzville – from being on the committee to serving as a team captain as well as general information about the event.

Held at the Ritzville Grade School cafeteria, the meeting will include snacks and prizes provided by Jennifer Kronvall, Community Relationship Manager for the Great West Division of the American Cancer Society.

“I wanted to have a meeting before the holidays because I keep getting the same feedback from folks that everyone is burned out, and understandably so,” Kronvall said. “My hope with this meeting is to re-energize folks who are already involved and get some new folks on board as committee members and/or team captains.

“This meeting will be open to all folks interested in being on a committee and/or being a team captain. I think it would be beneficial to hold an informational meeting sooner rather than later. I don’t intend for it to be a typical ‘working meeting.’ I would just like to use the opportunity to meet everyone new and old to Relay and see where we can steer this event next year.”
