Luis Carlos Chavez entered a guilty plea to one count of first-degree criminal trespassing in a case filed on Jan. 10, 2011. Judge Richard W. Miller in Adams County Superior Court sentenced Chavez to 365 days in Adams County Jail with credit for time previously served. Confinement must commence by Nov. 15, 2011. Miller ordered Chavez to pay $200 criminal filing fee, $250 victim assessment, $171 sheriff’s service fees, $350 court-appointed attorney, $250 fine, $100 domestic violence assessment. No supervision was ordered.

Karla Lynne Hughes entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of marijuana under 40 grams and one count of making a false statement to a public servant in a case filed on May 25, 2011. Judge Richard W. Miller in Adams County Superior Court sentenced Hughes to 90 days in Adams County Jail with 89 days suspended (Count 1 and 2). Hughes shall serve 365 days of total confinement with 364 days suspended, for a total of one day. Hughes will be on unsupervised probation for a period of two years and shall commence confinement by Oct. 15, 2011. Hughes is responsible for paying $200 criminal filing fee, $250 victim assessment, $40 sheriff’s service fee, $350 court-appointed attorney, $500 fine, $250 drug fund assessment. No supervision was ordered.
