On senior night , the Lady Broncos came out strong against the Colfax Lady Bulldogs, the class of the league. They battled nearly point-for-point in the first game.
The energy and effort kept them in the first game until the very end, when they lost it 25-21. Ultimately Colfax won the match in three games, 12-25, 15-25 and 16-25 Tuesday night.
“We came out strong in the first game,” head coach Cari Galbreath said. “Our energy was good early on but we didn’t sustain it. Our middles came out and dominated the net and that was good to see. We unfortunately gave them some easy points and then let our momentum go.”
Saturday the Lady Broncos secured a win over Kettle Falls after a grueling road trip, 25-10, 25-21 and 26-24.
“We came out and played pretty well,” Galbreath said. “We did let up the second and third game but we moved well on the court with good transition. Our front row played smart and blocked well. Defensively we moved and hustled as a team.”
