LaCrosse-Washtucna Lady Tigercats split pair of matches

Tekoa-Oakesdale defeated the Lady Tigercats on Saturday in Volleyball. Then the LaCrosse-Washtucna ladies bounced back Tuesday with a win over Rosalia. In Saturday’s match the Lady Tigercats fell in three, 18-25, 13-25 and 11-25.

Logan Harder had eight kills and nine digs. Anne Fleming finished with six assists.

“The team served really well,” said head coach Sarah Mayer. “We will continue to work on transitioning and covering the block.”

Against Rosalia the team posted a win in four games, 25-18, 20-25, 25-21 and 25-16.

Harder had 22 kills in the match. Fleming posted 20 assists, 10 digs and two aces.

“Tonight was our breast cancer awareness match as well as senior night where we recognized Anne Fleming,” Mayer said. “The girls played with a lot of enthusiasm and did a great job serving and receiving. It was a fun night.”
