Mary J. (Hille) Shelman

Mary J. (Hille) Shelman, age 97, died Oct. 18, 2011.

She was born the fouth of seven children to Daniel and Matilda Hille on Jan. 26, 1914, on the family farm south of Ritzville. She lived most of her 97 years in that community.

After graduation from Ritzville High School, she ventured to Spokane to attend the original Kinman Business University and graduated from there in 1932.

While she was working as a secretary in Spokane, she met the love of her life, Estol Shelman. They were married at her family home near Ralston on April 12, 1936.
