Sept. 24, 6:43 p.m. – A Benge complainant advised of an unknown injury single vehicle rollover collision near East Benge-Winona Road and East Troupe Road. Deputy Ben Buriak arrived on scene and later determined the driver was under the influence. Buriak arrested the driver, Edyth Darlene McPherson, who was booked into the Adams County Jail for DUI.

Sept. 24, 2:16 p.m. – A Davenport complainant advised of a semi pulling doubles driving across both lanes of traffic and erratic speed. Complainant also advised they were following the semi westbound on Rosenoff from Schoonover Road. No other description of the semi was given. While en route, complainant advised they were no longer following the semi as it was heading west on Rosenoff Road and they were headed north on Highway 21. Dep. Buriak checked Rosenoff Road west of Highway 21 and was unable to locate the semi.

Sept. 23, 2:10 p.m. – The Town of Lind advised of suspicious goings on near South Neilson Avenue. Deputy Jeff Lane checked the area, contacted the subject responsible at property. All appeared to be in order. Responsible will check the property when they come to town.

Sept. 23, 1:29 p.m. – Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident east on Highway 26 near milepost 62, in the ditch with no injuries. Minimal damage to vehicle.

Sept. 23, 12:29 p.m. – Dep. Lane arrested Jon Edward Cool for reckless driving near Danekas Road and Klein Road, Sprague.

Sept. 23, 11:34 a.m. – Washington State Patrol advised of an erratically driven vehicle that exited at the exit near East Danekas Road and North Durry Road. Vehicle and listed subject were contacted and warned about driving.

Sept. 22, 9:11 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a horse in the roadway at North Marengo Road, Ritzville. Deputy Aaron Madison and listed animal owner checked the area and were unable to locate the horse. The animal owner advised they would stay in the area and attempt to locate the horse.

Sept. 22, 7:30 p.m. – Burlington Northern Santa Fe Police, Texas, advised of a railroad car that had leaked an entire load of corn syrup over a four-mile stretch of the tracks from East Danekas Road and North Sage Road to Danekas and Ritzville. BNSF is working on cleanup, but the spill caused very slick roads near the railroad crossings at Sage and Bauman, possibly elsewhere. BNSF was on the scene and contacted public works fepartment to close the roads involved. It was later decided to call out the gire fepartment to wash down the crossings and clean the corn syrup off the roadway.

Sept. 22, 11:49 a.m. – Jakes Texaco, Ritzville, advised of suspected narcotics found at their location.

Sept. 21, 9:00 p.m. – A Lind complainant advised of fireworks being set off near a residence on East Fourth Street. Dep. Madison checked the area and was unable to locate a subject. Madison stayed in the area for some time and did not hear any more being set off.

Sept. 21, 7:41 p.m. – A Lind complainant advised of a burn barrel and smoke bothering them near West Third Street. Dep. Madison contacted the subject and advised them to put out the fire. Madison also advised the subject against burning at night.

Sept. 21, 7:18 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of possible gunshots heard near North Bauman Road. Dep. Madison checked the area and did not hear or locate anyone shooting.

Sept. 21, 11:12 a.m. – A Lind complainant advised of a possible fraud or scam phone call. Deputy Ben Buriak contacted the complainant, who advised that someone who identified themselves as being from Washington, D.C. was trying to offer a grant from the government if the complainant sent $20. Complainant advised of not wanting the grant and never requested one in the first place. The subject tried different attempts to gain complainant’s personal information and complainant refused. Finally the subject hung up. The complainant will be calling their phone provider to block unlisted phone numbers from calling.

Sept. 20, 9:27 p.m. – A representative from Geico Insurance advised they had lost contact with a subject at Templin’s that they were attempting to assist. Complainant requested that a deputy contact the subject and have him call the representative back. Deputy Ned Bernath located the subject and offered the subject use of his phone. Subject received the help they needed and Bernath cleared the scene.

Sept. 20, 5:29 p.m. – Deputy Jeff Lane located and removed tire debris from the roadway near West Rosenoff Road and North Kulm Road, Ritzville.

Sept. 20, 3:30 p.m. – A Lamona complainant advised of a cold burglary at a location in the 100 block of North Dyck Road, Odessa, with several items missing. Dep. Lane made contact with the complainant.

Sept. 19, 8:45 p.m. – A Lind complainant requested to speak with a deputy about witnessing the aftermath of domestic violence to a victim who arrived at a residence on North I Street. Dep. Bernath contacted the complainant, then the parties involved in an argument earlier in the evening.

Sept. 19, 2:03 p.m. – A Lind complainant reported a black cow out on the Lind-Hatton Road. Another Lind resident advised to whom the animal belonged to. The subject was contacted and took care of the animal problem.

Sept. 19, 12:04 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant near the 200 block of North Seivers Road advised that morning of losing a female goat. The goat stands about knee high, and is a medium brown in color with light brown spots and also has two horns, one of which is sideways. The complainant advised that if the goat is found to call their cell phone.

Sept. 19, 9:19 a.m. – A complainant at Big Bend Electric Cooperative advised of a collision near North Fox Road, Ritzville.

Sept. 18, 10:47 p.m. – Dep. Madison advised a street sign was down at West Cooper Avenue and West D Street, Washtucna. Madison looked around the area and did not see or observe any evidence indicating how the sign was knocked down. The following Monday Washtucna Public Works Department was notified.

Sept. 18, 10:36 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant contacted Deputy Dan Verhey and advised they will be having a fun shoot on property at East Franz Road and North Klein Road that afternoon. The resident wanted ACSO to know so if they get calls about gun shots that was all that was taking place.

Sept. 18, 8:29 a.m. – Dep. Verhey located a washout on the east side of Klein Road and south of Leisle Road. Dispatch was advised to email public works to have them check it.

Sept. 18, 5:43 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of two males parked suspiciously near West Rosenoff Road and North Damon Road, in an older pickup truck, who reported being out of gas. Dep. Verhey responded and checked the area but was unable to locate the subjects.

Sept. 17, 2:55 a.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of hearing a traffic accident followed by voices in the vicinity of South Marcellus Road and East Cunningham Road. Dep. Bernath checked the area from Marcellus south to Gillis, Marcellus north to Lee and Cunningham from Marcellus to Highway 261 and was unable to locate an accident.
