All six contract points had value

I thought you did not edit paid articles to the editor. My article last week had six doctor negotiation demands. The sixth one was just as important as 1-5. I don’t know how you missed number six, I had them labeled 1-6 as such.

Not listing the sixth item took some of the impact out of what I was trying to say. So here goes again, 6. The hospital shall also agree not to compete by hiring additional family practitioners or P.A.’s during the life of this agreement and for no less than two years following termination of this agreement as long as the physicians remain in the community and provide services to the hospital.

This demand was the doctors, not mine, as the paper might of lead readers to believe.

Another item of concern is how you did not report how the hospital made money in August. Although one month does not represent a trend, it certainly is a step in the right direction. I guess with the hospital doctors using the swing bed system and the physical therapy of the hospital’s (and not Life Cares) and using the hospital’s lab, the hospital district does have potential to turn a profit.

Lastly, I thought it was interesting how after the January 27 meeting you had the film up on Youtube in two days. The candidates forum did not show up for over two weeks.

I do urge everyone who is going to vote in the election to spend the 90 minutes and watch Youtube in its entirety.

The real question for the voters is, Do you believe this community needs a critical care access hospital or an urgent care facility?
