The Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Community Recognition Night this Saturday, Oct. 22, at the C.J. Newland American Legion Memorial Hall.
Advance tickets – available at the visitor’s center, Columbia Bank, U.S. Bank and Sterling Savings Bank – are $20 per person for the catered event until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.
The event serves as an opportunity to recognize community leaders, volunteers and students. Nine awards will be presented: Volunteer, Employee, Business, Boy, Girl, Educator, First Responder and Farmer of the Year.
The annual event also serves as the chamber’s major fundraiser with a live and silent auction. Warren Kragt will serve as auctioneer.
See Page B-1 for a brief listing of live auction items.
The event will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by a catered dinner prepared by Blue Bike Catering at 6:30 p.m.
The Ritzville Lions Club will staff the beverage bar as a fundraiser for the local service club.
Tickets are $25 at the door.
