Theatre production to feature local student talent

Missoula Children’s Theatre returns to Ritzville Oct. 10-14. Audiences will get a fresh look at an old favorite when the MCT and more than 50 local students present “The Tortoise Versus the Hare.” Performances are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 14, at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Auditions for the musical are set for Monday, Oct. 10, in the Ritzville Grade School Gym. Most students will rehearse about four and a half hours each day, Monday through Friday.

Auditions are open to all K-12 students who reside in the Ritzville School District. Actors are chosen, as well as assistant directors, who will help with rehearsals throughout the week and will work backstage during performances.

Rehearsals will begin immediately after auditions on Monday for some students. All students who receive parts will receive the week’s schedule at that time.
