Lady Tigercats secure on-the-road win

The LaCrosse-Washtucna Lady Tigercats ended their losing streak with a win on the road at Touchet Tuesday night in five sets, 25-14, 17-25, 25-16, 18-25 and 15-6.

Logan Harder led the team with nine kills and three aces while Anne Fleming provided 17 assists and six digs. Kadie Winery finished with three blocks.

The match was an improvement for the team as well as for individual athletes, according to head coach Sarah Mayer.

“The girls did a great job communicating tonight and worked very hard,” she said Tuesday night. “They were consistent with their serves and did a nice job with serve receive.”

The win comes after a loss last Thursday in Washtucna against Pomeroy. The Lady Pirates captured the victory in three sets, 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.

Fleming logged a successful night with three blocks, eight assists, four digs and two stuffs. Harder finished with six kills and four aces.
