Marjorie E. Hancock (Sitton) died peacefully Sept. 10, 2011, with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Washtucna. She attended Eastern Washington University and graduated with an education degree, which started a long career and great love for teaching children.
She also enjoyed reading, travel, cultural events and her dog, Murphy.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bernie L. Hancock; a daughter, Kelly J. Lovelett (Hancock); a son, Scott P. Hancock; a granddaughter Riley S. Lovelett; a brother, Tom Sitton; and a son-in-law, Rick Bryant; as well as a large extended family.
Graveside services were held Sept. 17, 2011, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
