Almira-Coulee/Hartline roughed up the Lady Broncos a bit in four games Tuesday night, taking the win, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.
“We started off pretty strong early in the first game,” coach Cari Galbreath said. “Actually we were dominating. But then we couldn’t keep playing at our level and we lost our focus. We missed too many serves at crucial moments. We were not smart offensively with lots of hitting errors, and we let ACH control our game.”
Jenna Bennett had seven assists, two service aces and one dig. Kaytlin Phillips provided five digs while Brittany Ste. Marie tacked on three digs. Maya Wahl recorded one block and Sydney Nelson had one assist and one dig
Amanda Yockey finished with one kill and one service ace. Andrea Bennett logged two kills, two digs and one block. Dalyn Killian had four kills and two blocks. Davis Killian contributed three service aces and two blocks.

Defending state champion Reardan won the third match of the day, but the Lady Broncos showed plenty of promise.
“The Reardan match started with so much energy,” Galbreath said. “Every point we battled it out. We had a few silly errors/mistakes that were committed close together and before you knew it Reardan was serving to take the first game. There were definitely some good moments and good execution. We just happened to be a little more inconsistent and more frail in confidence than Reardan.”
