Candidate’s husband says mud slingers have facts wrong

Who has threatened to “close the doors” to the present hospital?

Who has stated that “All we need is a super clinic?”

Who has suggested that a triage center is all that is needed?

Who is sending lab work to Moses Lake or Spokane that could be done locally?

Who is sending patients to hospitals outside the city for procedures that could be done locally?

Who is turning hospital board meetings into shouting matches?

Who is questioning every vote made by the hospital board?

Who is questioning every decision made by our hospital administrator?

I can tell you that it is not the majority of the present hospital board. They have done everything they can to keep the hospital open and viable for the taxpayers of these communities. They have not only kept the doors open but have added new protocols that include upgraded CT scans, blood transfusions and increased levels of cardiac and stroke support!

I would suggest to you that there is a small group of people in this community that are placing their own desires above the common public good. Their theory is “sling enough mud and some will stick.’ They are using rumor and innuendo disguised as facts to confuse and anger people.

I can give you examples … How many of you heard the rumor that our hospital CEO was laughing as he took a picture ridiculing the Hometown Clinic? The fact is, he did no such thing. It turns out that an individual not from a small town took pictures of The Hometown Clinic and the Liquor/Fabric Store and The Burroughs Museum because he was intrigued by the small town look.

Were you advised when the rumor was found to be false? …

Have you heard the rumor that the hospital privileges for the Hometown Clinic doctors have been terminated? The fact is, both Hometown doctors have full hospital privileges and if they don’t use the hospital facility, it is only by choice.

Were you advised when the rumor was found to be false? …

I’m sure you’ve heard the rumor that the hospital board and the administrator are spending money – hand over fist. The fact is, they have spent only enough to keep the doors to the clinic and hospital open and to supply needed services and equipment. A full financial report is handed out at every monthly board meeting. Were you advised when the rumor was found to be false?

Campaigning by rumor is just wrong! It is no way to determine your vote. Please find someone you trust to be unbiased and ask questions. Make your vote count!
