Kudos to Blues fest, but it’s sad to see it end

I second the tribute and gratitude that Dale Anderson expressed in his column last week in the Journal thanking those who made Blues Fest the great festival that it was.

What a terrific opportunity for ‘little ole Ritzville’ to shine; the town opened its doors welcoming out-of-town musicians, vendors, fans of all sizes, ages and types.

What other event offers such diversity?

When I moved here eight years ago, I couldn’t believe that Ritzville hosted such an amazing day of fun, music and hospitality.

For me, saying goodbye to Blues Fest is sad; it’s the end of a great tradition.
