Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Voters cast favorable votes for four local maintenance and operations levies during the primary election on Aug. 16. Adams County had a 45.08 percent voter turnout. A total of 1,007 ballots were cast. The last tabulation was at 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 17. The next ballot count is slated for Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. for the remaining 15 ballots.
The Adams County Auditor’s Office will certify the election on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 3 (Lind) garnered 155 votes in favor compared to 69 votes to reject the proposition.
A total of 418 voters cast approving votes for the levy request by Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 4 (Ritzville) while 249 voters rejected the proposition.
Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 2 (Washtucna) also appears to have passed its levy request by 71 votes or 61.74 percent. Forty-four voters opposed the proposition for 38.26 percent of the 115 total votes cast.
Adams County Cemetery District No. 1 (Washtucna) voters overwhelmingly supported the maintenance and operation levy with 94 votes while 21 voters were against the proposition.
