Toxin levels below action level at Potholes Reservoir

New preliminary test results are now available for blue-green algae toxin levels in Potholes Reservoir. All four samples were found to have toxin levels below the Washington State Recreational Guidelines.

The samples were gathered on Aug. 22 at Lind Coulee (2 samples), O’Sullivan Shores and Potholes State Park.

Potholes Reservoir was re-assessed and re-tested for toxin on Aug. 29.

Only after two consecutive weeks of tests below the action level can the Grant County Health District (GCHD) downgrade the alert level or remove the warning signs.
