Ritzville domestic dispute call ends in high-speed chase

A high-speed chase between the Washington State Patrol and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Jesse Ray Waldvogel, 25, that originated in Ritzville ended in the Cheney/Four Lakes area late on Aug. 21.

The incident started as a possible domestic dispute in Ritzville that afternoon. According to Trooper Troy Briggs, who is the public information officer, the subject was reported to be suicidal and later said to be armed.

Troopers Tyler Fryberger and Dustin Stephan encountered Waldvogel in Ritzville and tried to stop him but he fled eastbound on Interstate 90 at speeds exceeding 110 mph.
