EARH to receive $9,100 for trauma care

The trauma program was started by Washington state years ago in order to set the standard of care for trauma victims. At that time money was set aside for participants to receive help financially.

Hospitals had to apply for trauma center level designation. There are five levels; Harborview is the only Level 1 in the Pacific Northwest. There are certain requirements for each level, based a facility’s availability of doctors, surgeons, specialists, research, etc.
