Depot curator grateful for public, city help

To the editor:

In April of this year, I wrote an article that was published in the Journal, asking the citizens of Ritzville for cooperation in keeping the museum grounds clear of cigarette and animal waste plus other unsightly debris.

The response to my plea was absolutely fantastic! Since then, with the rare exception of an occasional cigarette here or there, the grounds look so much better. Visitors have commented upon the neat appearances too.

Needless to say, city employees deserve much of the credit too. This frees up my time for other necessary work. As to the tumbleweeds etc., Almighty God provides me with a sufficient quantity of those to take care of, hmmm.

Placement of the refuse and animal waste containers at the two areas around the depot, I am told, will be forthcoming soon.

I wish to thank everyone so very much for their help and cooperation.

L.R. Keith

Museum depot curator
