Everyone should examine hospital district’s proposed strategic plan

To the editor,

East Adams Rural Hospital (EARH) is at a crossroad, which can and will affect the citizens and taxpayers of Ritzville and surrounding areas for years to come.

The EARH administration and board have a proposed five-year Strategic Plan up for adoption at a special July 14th board meeting.

Among other items, this plan includes the possibility of building a new facility.

I would encourage everyone within the EARH’s service area to obtain and carefully examine a copy of this strategic plan and to give input to the administration and board. It is of great importance that this administration and board know the views and wishes of the tax paying citizens.

We are living in changing times in our world, nation and communities where citizens need to take an active interest in where and how resources and taxes are used.

A copy of the strategic plan is available on the EARH’s website or is to be made available at the facility.
