Ritzville performer sets album release, summer tour

Local musician Chelsey Heidenreich will launch a full month of tours beginning this Saturday, July 2, with a trip to Boise, Idaho.

The rising musician released her first album last year, a highlight of a fast-paced performance schedule that kept her busy all summer.

Heidenreich, who will begin her junior year at Ritzville High School this fall, is releasing her latest CD, “Too Many Things,” on July 10 in Ritzville.

She worked with HitStreet Records and Abbey Road Studios on the album.

“It was very cool working with Abbey Road Studios, home of the Beatles and many other great artists,” she said.

CDs are $10 each. In addition to being available at the release parties, CDs can be bought online as the full album, or as individual songs at http://www.digstation.com after July 10.

Rounding out the touring band are some new additions. Ritzville students Ryan Balkcom and Micah Brown have joined Heidenreich – Balkcom on drums and Brown on bass.

According to Heidenreich, opening bands throughout the tour consists of Ron Greene and David Simmonson.

New to her tour schedule are several churches in Oregon, Idaho and Washington.

“I’m very excited to have joined the Christian music scene this year. We have a lot of awesome worship services planned out on tour,” she said.

Heidenreich’s tour dates are:

• July 2 – Rembrants in Boise, Idaho

• July 3 – Meridian United Church of Christ (UCC) in Wilsonville, Ore.

• July 8 – Lents Common in Portland, Ore.

• July 10- Zion Philadelphia UCC in Ritzville during the morning worship

• July 10 – Ritzville Foursquare Church at 6 p.m. worship service (Ritzville CD release)

• July 12 – Doc the Gaffer, an online show based out of Spokane airing at 10 p.m. at http://www.inthebackrow.com

• July 13 – First Congregational UCC in Colville

• July 14 – Second Space, 610 West Second Street in Spokane (Spokane CD release)

• July 15 – St. Maries, Idaho

• July 16 – City park in Harrison, Idaho

• July 17 – Church of the Nazarene in St. Maries, Idaho
