Walkers, cancer survivors, those diagnosed with cancer, community leaders, team captains and hard workers are all needed to make the 2011 Relay For Life of Ritzville event a success.
The 2011 event is Aug. 12-13, 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. at the Ritzville High School track.
Volunteers are needed to organize and recruit teams, serve as luminaria chair and help out in a variety of other areas.

Relay For Life is a team event where participants walk around a track relay style overnight. During the event, teams of people take turns walking laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Funds raised through Relay For Life go to various American Cancer Society programs.
