Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Associated Agency Group (AAG) Insurance in Ritzville changed hands on June 1 with the purchase by Sloan-Leavitt Insurance Agency in Othello.
A letter sent to AAG clients states, “AAG has signed an agreement with Sloan-Leavitt Insurance Agency, Inc. of Othello, WA. This agreement does two things: Brings Sloan-Leavitt’s first-class crop insurance program to all of you and transfers control of AAG’s Ritzville office to Sloan-Leavitt’s operation in Othello.
“Sloan-Leavitt is well known in Eastern Washington as a leader in crop and other lines of insurance. The transfer of Ritzville to Sloan-Leavitt makes sense to both agencies for several reasons: close proximity of Ritzville and Othello, overlapping territory, Othello can assist Ritzville during busy seasons, adds nearby experts to assist and allows each office to collaborate for better efficiency.”
The letter further states that benefits to current clientele includes crop insurance at the Ritzville office as well as the current Ritzville staff remaining with the new company.
Brad Risenmay and Greg Sloan serve as vice presidents as well as co-owners with Nathan Beus. Sloan is the office manager for Ritzville.
“Our expertise is farms and ag business,” Sloan said.
“Our goal is to keep things about the same,” Beus added. “We’re really impressed with these three ladies.”
The purchase will offer a lot more companies and services to work with, which means more choices for clients.
