Fourth of July celebration returns to Washtucna

The Washtucna-Benge-Hooper Lions Club will host a community Fourth of July celebration at Bassett Park on July 4.

A medieval battle reenactment will start the events at 11 a.m. with the flag raising ceremony and community potluck to follow at noon.

The Lions club will provide beverages and area community members are asked to take their favorite dish to share.

Rounding out the day is a time of community fellowship and games, including volleyball, badminton, croquet, medieval games, card and board games and any games individuals want to take and share.
