Deeg to face assault charge

Ritzville mayoral candidate Martin Heinrich-George Deeg made a preliminary appearance in Kootenai County District Court on Monday to face a felony charge of aggravated assault.

Deeg was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, June 10, in the Hayden Lake area of Idaho by the Kootenani County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court records, Deeg was released on his own recognizance.
