LIBERTY – Two Broncos competed in the NE 2B League wrestling championships, with Brandon Davis taking first place at 126 pounds, and Gabe Smith finishing third at 220 pounds Friday, June 18. Last week was the end of winter sports for the Covid year. A bit bizarre when you look back and remember that football and volleyball were played in February to get athletics started. It wasn’t the best for everyone, but it did allow for kids to enjoy their favorite sport the best way they knew how. RITZVILLE – Both the 7th and 8th grade Lind-Ritzville-Sprague boys basketball teams went undefeated this season. RITZVILLE – The Broncos hosted a league wrestling tournament with Chewelah, Colfax, Pomeroy, Liberty and Davenport competing Tuesday, June 8. Wrestling for the Broncos was Brandon Davis at 126 pounds, and Gabe Smith at 195 pounds.
