ODESSA — The state capital budget approved earlier this month includes $5.5 million in funding for the EL 22.1 pipeline project within the Odessa Groundwater Replacement Program. The pipeline project will use surface water from the Upper Columbia River, pumped into the East Low Canal, to offset ground water traditionally pumped out of the Odessa aquifer. HATTON — A Portland, Ore., man was arrested shortly after noon Sunday, Feb. 4, after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase in excess of 150 mph. Issac D. SPRAGUE — One man was killed and two women were injured in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 about four miles east of the city Thursday, Dec. 7. Angel A. Cuevas, 22, George was pronounced deceased after being transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center, according to a release from Washington State Patrol. Litzy J. EASTON – A Hooper man is among four drivers who struck two pedestrians on Interstate 90 on Sunday night, Sept. 10. Both pedestrians died at the scene, the Washington State Patrol reported, their names are being withheld pending notification of kin. Caleb M.
