For the past two years, the Columbia Basin Ground Water Area (GWMA) has been developing a sophisticated computational groundwater model of four Columbia Basin Counties – Adams, Franklin, Grant and Lincoln. The Harrington Opera House Society (HOHS) continues to work hard to find funding for the rehabilitation of the historic Bank Block Building including the Harrington Opera House auditorium. The Ritzville Public Library is one of seven libraries in Adams and Lincoln counties that will soon have extra materials on their shelves through a grant administered by the Washington State Library. The Connecting Libraries through Resource Sharing grant program has provided $5,000 for the seven public libraries. Ritzville is the lead library receiving the grant, and the Odessa, Davenport, Harrington, Hesseltine (Wilbur), Reardan and Sprague public libraries are partners.
