    Sunday, Nov. 20, has been set aside for a community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by the Ritzville Ministerial Association and the Ritzville Food Pantry. The traditional Thanksgiving meal is intended as a community event and everyone is welcome to attend and dine in fellowship. The meal is being provided free.     The starting time of 8:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning never seems to change for the annual Turkey Trot where community members and guests gather outside The New Ritz Theatre on Main Avenue to walk, trot, stroll or jog the Ritzville Walking Path.     An accident occurred on westbound I-90 about 10 miles east of Ritzville on Nov. 14 at 6:05 a.m. Robert Housden lost control of his vehicle after passing a semi, causing his car to leave the roadway and roll several times. The 71-year-old was then taken by ambulance to East Adams Rural Hospital, where he was later transported again by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center.     The Internal Revenue Service has released the Form 2290, Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return. This form is used to figure and pay the use tax due on trucks having gross vehicle weight of 55,000 pounds or more. No tax is owed though in two instances: if the vehicle is expected to be used 5,000 miles or less per year or if the vehicle is used in agriculture and is expected to be used 7,500 miles or less per year.     A Ritzville woman, while checking on her sister’s Broadway Avenue home, encountered a burglar on Monday. Ritzville Police were called to the Broadway Avenue home about 10 a.m. on Monday.     A 15-year-old Othello youth will be sentenced as an adult to one count of murder in the second degree next Monday in Adams County Superior Court.     The State FFA Tractor Driving contest was held at the Moses Lake Fairgrounds on Nov. 10. There were 53 tractor drivers from throughout the state that competed at this year’s competition. This is the first year that the state contest was held in Moses Lake; in previous years it had been held at the State Fair in Puyallup.
