Beverly Jean Lewis Sitton, 77, died Nov. 7, in Colfax. She was born December 23, 1936 in Spokane to Harvey William and Elva Lucile Dyer Lewis. She married Benjamin Otis Sitton on December 12, 1954; together they shared 59 blessed years. They raised their four children on the family farm in Washtucna. Lewis W. Kagele, 90, died on Tuesday, October 27 in Ritzville. Lewis was born on November 3, 1923 to Jake and Martha (Bischoff) Kagele in Ritzville. Lewis grew up on the family farm and attended school in Ritzville graduating from Ritzville High School. Lewis later married Darlene Schell on November 18, 1945 in Ruff, WA. On Friday night, Nov. 7, the Broncos would hold off a determined Wilbur-Creston team and extend their season for another week. On Nov. 8 two student-athletes from Lind-Ritzville/Sprague travelled to Pasco to compete against the best runners in the state. 66 of the best runners from around the state would take the line at 10 a.m. for the 1B/2B Girls’ Race with the entire LRS Cross Country Team among them.
