RITZVILLE – A Cle Elum man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 about 11 miles west of the city on Friday, Nov. 5. Laurence W. Roxby, 65, of Cle Elum, was pronounced dead at the scene about 1:12 p.m., the Washington State Patrol reported. Roxby was eastbound near Milepost 210 when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and entered the center median and overturned, the patrol said. RITZVILLE – Adams County elected officials met in a forum, Nov. 3, to discuss budgeting for the upcoming year. Commissioner Jay Weise asked elected officials to prepare short presentations ahead of the public budget hearing to go over their requests. Public hearings have not yet been scheduled, but are expected to take place in early December.
