The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos faced a tough loss against league rival the Reardan Indians on Oct. 28. The Broncos hosted the final regular season game and were plagued with turnovers, resulting in a victory for the Indians. John and Kellie (Deska) Kragt of Ritzville announce the birth of their twins, Lincoln Bryant Kragt and Landry Marie Kragt, born Sept. 13 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Lincoln and Landry join a brother, Austin. At birth, Lincoln weighed six pounds 11 ounces and measured 19.5 inches in length. Landry weighed five pounds eight ounces and measured 18 inches in length. Velma Clara (Krug) Biermann was born Oct. 21, 1921, to Wilhelm and Emma (Dettmen) Krug at home, west of Hatton. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed with her brother Edward at Gideon Lutheran Church, which at that time was located in the country at Paradise Flats. She attended school at Hatton until the seventh grade and then continued her education in Lind, graduating in 1938. Hanna Lenhart Heimbigner was born on Jan. 17, 1916, in Odessa, and died on Oct. 6 in Fremont, California, at the age of 100. She leaves a family that loves her and will miss her forever. She is survived by her children: Leland Heimbigner of Reno, Nevada, and Barbara Heimbigner of Newark, California, as well as 19 nieces and nephews.
