The deadline for Adams County residents to return ballots to be counted in the General Election is Nov. 5. All registered voters received ballots via the mail and must postmark or return to a drop box location by Nov. 5. A scheduling snafu between Lind-Ritzville High School and the organization that provides the Northeast 2B league with officials for football games resulted in the cancellation of Friday’s game between the LRS Broncos and the Colfax Bulldogs. Adams County Pet Rescue recently received a “We Love Our Pets” License Plate Grant from the Washington Federation of Animal Care and Control Agency. In early 2007, the Federation began to receive revenue from the sales of the “We Love Our Pets” license plates. These funds have been earmarked for spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. Washington Aerospace Scholars is a free distance-learning and summer residency program for high school juniors that emphasizes science, technology, engineering and math, and encourages students to consider careers in these fields. The Lady Tigercats battled against Colton on Thursday night in the final league match of the season. The Lady Tigercats honored two seniors, Lindsey Miller and Kadie Whinery, prior to the start of the match in LaCrosse. Two months of hard work and dedication came to fruition on Sunday, Oct. 13, when Dana Telecky of Ritzville, ran her first half marathon in Seattle. Telecky completed the Biggest Loser Half Marathon with a time of 2:45.
