The Lady Tigercats suffered back-to-back losses over the course of the last week, and now have a single match remaining before they move into post-season competition. The LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus team first faced Colton, before competing against Oakesdale. The LWK team hosted the Colton Lady Wildcats on Oct. 17 for the final home game of the season. The Lady Tigercats recognized three seniors prior to the start of the match: Kristen Miller, Jazzmyn Gordon and Hailey Ayers....
The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos honored their seniors by recording a substantial win against the Kettle Falls Bulldogs in the team’s final home game of the season on Oct. 20. The Broncos dominated the Friday night competition, which resulted in the second consecutive win for the team and the first home game win this season with the 52-14 victory. While the Bulldogs started with possession at the beginning of the game, the Broncos truly controlled the game from the start. A... Full story
LIND OKTOBERFEST. Debbie Knodel hugs and welcomes Camron, Chris and Douglas Olson to the annual Okotoberfest event, hosted by the Good Hope Lutheran Church on Oct. 22 at the Lind Senior Center. Those in attendance enjoyed a meal of sausage, sauerkraut, green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls. Kathleen “Kathy” M. Yerxa was born on Feb. 13, 1952, to Albert and Mabel Hoffman in Wenatchee. She died on Oct. 19 in her home in Ritzville surrounded by loved ones. She grew up outside of Cashmere on the family apple orchard and graduated from Cashmere High School in 1970. She went on to earn her teaching degree from Eastern Washington University. She taught two years in Grandview, Washington, before moving to Ritzville in 1976. She spent the rest of her 40-year teaching car...
