    Netta Mae Whipple was born on Nov. 1, 1926, in Ford, Washington, to George Edward Reed and Lillie May (Greenman) Reed. She had four older siblings, Vett Reed, Pearl (Reed) Kelso and Vera Jean and Verna Jane Reed, her twin sisters who passed away at birth in 1924. Netta died on Oct. 13. in the Cheney Care Center.     Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Lind Senior Center located at 117 North I Street. Sunday Morning worship is at 9 a.m. at the Senior Center, under the leadership of Pastor Ginny Johnson. All are welcome to attend.
