    Rose (Pflugrath) MacDonald, age 99, died at a local care facility in Brookings, Ore., on Oct. 3, 2011. She was born May 28, 1912, in Ritzville to Emmanuel and Christina (Stuckle) Pflugrath. She grew up on the family farm in Ritzville. There she met Ted Vaughn; the two were married in 1935 and moved to Wenatchee. They later moved to Pendleton, Ore., where they lived for 30 years.     Angeline F. “Babe” Steinmetz, age 96, died Oct. 9, 2011, in Ritzville. She was born to George and Mary Lange Gleich on June 27, 1915, in Paha. She had seven sisters and three brothers, all deceased. She married Alex Steinmetz in 1931 and they celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in April 2006. Her husband died in September 2006.
