    The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos secured a 20-6 win against Columbia-Burbank during the Homecoming game on Sept. 21. The game served as the final nonleague contest, before the Broncos move into league competition on Sept. 28. After a two-game losing streak, Head Coach Greg Whitmore said the Broncos needed the Homecoming win to help boost their confidence moving into a league game against Colfax this week.     Businesses and organizations seeking 110 funding in 2019 need to submit their applications by Oct. 10, and are encouraged to attend the 110 presentation meeting on Oct. 16. During the Ritzville City Council meeting, Mayor Gary Cook said 110 funding applications have been distributed to local organizations. The deadline to turn in applications is Oct. 10.   • Historic H.E. Gritman building restoration is underway

    Ritzville residents who walk by the H.E. Gritman Building in the next couple of weeks may see crews working to restore the structure’s brickwork. Building owner Brenda Owens said she contracted with Wolf Creek Contracting to rehabilitate the brickwork, which is scheduled to be finished before the end of October. The H.E.     A Moses Lake driver was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 90, milepost 221 outside of Ritzville city limits on Sept. 18. A Washington State Patrol (WSP) report stated Mandy Epolito, 36, of Moses Lake, was driving a Chevy Impala westbound on I-90 when she crossed the median and collided with a Kenworth semi-truck.
