  • Lind Senior Center serving brunch

    The Lind Senior Center will be serving a brunch for the community on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu includes a Denver omelet, biscuits and gravy, hash brown casserole, juice and coffee.   • Lind Council approves loan repayment schedule

    During the Sept. 11 meeting, the Lind Town Council approved a loan repayment schedule with the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology). The repayment schedule is for the loan for the Storm Water Project. The Council terminated the contract with Stantec Engineering at a March meeting. In March, Stantec Engineering Alan Gay recommended the Town terminate the contract because the company could not complete the project before the June 2019 deadline.     At the Sept. 17 meeting, the Adams County Commissioners provided a consensus to Adams County Treasurer Laura Danekas to utilize money from the current expense, and the Treasurer’s operation and maintenance funds to reimburse the Public Works department for cleaning three parcels of foreclosed property in the amount of $12,656.98. Danekas explained $10,536.13 from current expense fund would go toward the expense. The new addition to the fellowship building will allow for more space for church events, youth meetings and other functions.     The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Lady Broncos volleyball team opened Northeast 2B South League play on Sept. 13 in Tekoa, with a 3-0 sweep against the Lady Timberwolves. The Lady Broncos controlled the match with scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-13. The win improved LRS league record to 2-0 overall.
