    A two-year capital levy for improvements to the Jimmie Snider Field complex will be on the ballot during the November general election – ballots will be mailed on Oct. 19. If approved, the proposed capital improvement levy would assess a tax of $0.66 per thousand to taxpayers over a two-year period. The proposed levy would generate $195,000 per year for a two-year total of $390,000.   • Ritz Theatre to host ladies night

    The New Ritz Theatre is hosting a ladies night special on Sunday, Sept. 23. All ladies admission is just $5 and the featured movie is “Hope Springs,” a lighthearted comedy starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell. Regular admission prices are $4 for children age 11 and under, $6 for adults and $6.50 for loge seating. The New Ritz Theatre is located at 107 East Main Avenue in downtown Ritzville.
