    The 11th Annual Safety, Health and Wellness Fair returns to Pioneer Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and is hosted by Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2. The annual event provides visitors with an extensive amount of health and safety information as well as providing community members with opportunities for health tests.     The Ritzville Museum Volunteers will be hosting a free ice cream social on Sept. l0 at 2 p.m. at the Burroughs’ Home. The ice cream treats and tours of the museum are free to those attending.     On Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m., the Ritzville Nazarene Church will host a concert with Brent Vernon, a writer, illustrator, and performing musician from South Florida.     The East Adams County Healthcare Foundation will be having their annual Wine Tasting and Auction on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall with a theme of Margaritaville. The Foundation asks for those attending to dress in beach themed attire. The event will include a buffet, wine tasting and a no host bar with signature drinks.     The Lind Calvary Assembly of God Church will be offering an after school program called Broadcast Kids for students kindergarten through fifth grade. The program is offered at the church every Wednesday from 3:30-4:45 p.m. beginning on Sept. 14.     The annual Lind Community Yard Sale has proved to be an enjoyable event where locals can sell items and interact with the community. Many residents begin preparing for the sale weeks in advance.     The Second Harvest mobile food truck will be in Ritzville on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Emanuel Lutheran Church at 206 South Division Street in Ritzville. This is a free food distribution sponsored by Emanuel Lutheran Church and Thrivent. It is open to the public, and appointments and documentation are not needed.     When it comes to football you never really know what can happen on any give game day. Last Saturday, for instance, the Eastern Washington Eagles traveled to Pullman to take on the WSU Cougars. As everyone knows by now, the Eagles prevailed in a real shootout 45-42. WSU was favored by 23 points or so.
