I do a fair amount of driving on I-90 and Hwy 395 and I see a lot of vehicles including semi-trucks that sport the logos of teams mostly from this area of the northwest. The ones I see most are WSU, UW, EWU, Gonzaga, Seahawks and Mariners. I also see the folks driving the cars from Oregon with the O in their rear window for the University of Oregon. I can’t say which ones are the best drivers, although it seems to me that most of the people with out-of-state plates prefer t...
In the Fourth Congressional District, the August district work period has been a busy time for me traveling up and down Central Washington to meet with constituents and hear their concerns firsthand. Many communities in our area are dealing with dry weather and wildfires, which are a constant reminder of the vital need for federal land management reform. I held a Forest Service Advisory Panel in Omak with community members, and the feedback I received is that the U.S. Forest Service needs to improve forest health through acti...

The hurricane hit Houston, America’s fourth largest city and an urban area, which accounts for 3 percent of our nat...

The first game of the season did not go in favor of the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos, as they went on a long road trip to face the Asotin Panthers on Sept. 1.
