Like most people, men in particular, I often channel surf especially during those times when the game is over and the next one is an hour away. A few weeks ago I was watching a program on the NFL network if I’m not mistaken, where there was an interview with some players. The interviewer asked the all-important question, “Who do you think is the best player in the NFL.” There were six players and I’ll be honest I didn’t recognize any of their names but the answers came back...
The East Adams Hospital District No. 2 commissioners have yet to show they can properly operate the facility they oversee. The voters wanted the current facility brought up to the standards required by federal and state authorities. They wanted a hospital district run properly. If the current commissioners spent their time doing the job they were elected to do, could they show a positive cash flow for a year or two or three? We will not know because they seem unable to focus on the sensible and instead move onto greater and...

What’s causing this? The birds are falling victim to a massive solar energy installation in California’s Mojave Desert. Launched last year, the $2.2 billion facility is the world’s largest plant to employ power towers. It sits on 4,000 acr...
